I believe that every human life is a story worth honoring. When we share our stories, profound things happen. We learn, we grow, we understand, we empathize, we bare witness, and if we listen well enough, we can be transformed by one another.

This is why I have devoted my life to becoming a professional story keeper, and advocate for social change. I am a psychologist who shows love through listening. I help people, business and organizations move toward thriving.

Following in the courageous footsteps of those who have revealed their stories to me, allow me to share some of mine with you.

Career Experiences

I have been providing counseling services for the past 10 years. My path started in a community mental health setting in which I worked with children, adolescents, and university students in rural Colorado. I then worked to serve women and children seeking shelter from domestic violence. As an advocate counselor, I assisted women in recovering from trauma, regaining their sense of self and become self-sufficient. In this role, I educated the public regarding intimate partner violence. This expertise lead to a short stint in which I worked with offenders of domestic and sexual violence.
Later on, I also worked with another rarely served population, the elderly. I earned a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology which taught me to think about health across the lifespan and that age my influence but does not define a person. Towards the end of graduate school, I started working with college students. My focus shifted to young adults for the promises and potential they possess.

During my Post-doctoral Fellowship at Stanford, I harnessed cognitive behavioral expertise in perfectionism, burnout, Anxiety, Depression, and passive suicidality. As a licensed clinician, my focused has narrowed to working with high achieving students and Silicon Valley Tech professionals.

I am a Co-Founder and the CEO of Inherent Value Psychology INC., my private practice in Palo Alto, CA. My husband and I created Inherent Value Psychology to answer questions like: “Why do so many people feel like they are not enough?” “What messages do we all received that facilitates the erosion of self-worth?’ and “What can I do about it?”

So far, Inherent Value Psychology has spoken at TEDx, The Stanford Mental Health Summit, and at the University of Toronto. The practice has provided over 500 individual and couples sessions and is launching group therapy this year!
